FOOD: SEAFOOD/CASUAL AMERICAN • EAT IN/TABLE SERVICE • ALL MAJOR CREDIT CARDS • $$$

The Bookstore & Restaurant was opened by the Parlante family in 1964. Today they serve the freshest seafood, including a raw bar with littlenecks and oysters from the local shellfish beds, pasta, meat and vegetarian dishes, and a children’s menu, all in an atmosphere of casual excellence overlooking Wellfleet Harbor and Great Island. The upstairs lounge features specialty drinks and occasional live entertainment in the summer. The downstairs lounge, the Bomb Shelter, is a pub brimming with local color. Overall, the charm of the family-owned Bookstore & Restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Enjoy dining on one of their multi-level decks and visit their one-of-a-kind bookstore. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
